You've owned the same car for 16 years, and yes I know you really like it, but why not try something different? Maybe a Tahoe or Yukon or Trailblazer or LITERALLY ANYTHING BUT ANOTHER VAN PLEASE .

She want to do the same thing with the Vue, just upgrade to a used Cadillac SRX. Which I'm kinda okay with, but why not a used CTS instead?

I know, I know, Theta and Theta Premium but they're still similar-ish.

She doesn't need a crossover. She never did. She wanted a Charger at one point, but ended up with a Vue.

I wanted a Silverado extended cab until I watched the crash test video. I'm sure the Tahoe is nicer and my wife would love one but we can't afford the gas as the family vehicle gets mostly city driving.

The lack true B-Pillars is really the Extended Cab's downfall I think. I also think that's why they switched to two front hinged doors this generation.

Yeah. It's sad they couldn't make it work because no b pillars is great for loading kids in the back but as a parent you could never get over the reduced safety.
